I didn't do any work today. Took the day off sewing (see stories) and seeing my friend, but I did manage to add up this quarters charity donations before going out this morning.
We made it to £1428 this time, which made Ross and I feel very happy and proud. 💑

Mother opossums are the ultimate multitasking moms of the animal kingdom. With up to 13 tiny babies clinging to her back, she carries them everywhere - through forests, across roads, and even up trees - whilst hustling, foraging for food, and teaching her little ones survival skills.

Three weeks today since we lost Beagsy and four years since Linus came to live with us. Though there were quite a few dogs Byron didn't like, he seemed very happy with Linus joining our family. The first few weeks Linus would frequently squeeze into Byron's bed with him. I think it made him feel safe.
The grief is getting better. A lot of the time I feel just normal, but then I spot something like the golf ball at the back of the garden, which Byron stole out of Ross's bag and ran off with a couple of days before he fell ill, and I start crying again. I cannot get myself to pick it up. I cannot get myself to wash any of our blankets because Byron was lying on there his last few days. Peeling carrots is sad because he always came running for the peelings...
I do not want to see the box with Byron's ashes which Ross collected this week. And I absolutely don’t want to go and scatter them, I can't even think about it. I just want to pretend nothing happened.
